There is nothing wrong

Whether the ring is the ring to pop the question or a ring to celebrate an anniversary; many people will worry about the stone. However; the metal surrounding the stone is just as important. Of course, we all would like to get the best and when we are going for the best, we tend to stick to the traditional. Regardless of the choice; just make sure that it is the right choice for the person the ring is intended for. Platinum would be the top metal choice for a ring; however not everyone can afford platinum. Although platinum is a heavy metal than gold or silver and it has its own white appearance, so it does not need to be coated, like white gold does.

If platinum is out of the budget then step down to the semi precious metals: gold, white gold or silver. When it comes to yellow and white gold; it usually is a matter of preference. Yellow gold tends to be softer than white gold, so it is good idea to consider the wearer when choosing between the two metals. If the wearer will only wear the ring when they go out and they like yellow gold; then by all means go with the yellow. If the wearer will wear the ring absolutely everywhere then it might be wise to consider white gold.

The next metal worth mentioning is silver. There is nothing wrong with silver and many prefer silver. Silver does tend to need polishing more than any of the other metals and have a higher chance of reacting to the acidity level of the wearer. Whatever metal and stone you choose will probably be right but it never hurts to save the receipt.
